This is an excellent role for someone looking to provide technical expertise in designing, installing, and constructing microgrids and power generation solutions.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Work closely with the business development team to evaluate and develop technical solutions for our customers.Provide support to the Advanced Energy team on new equipment, software, and engineering tools according to market trends.Engage with customers during business development presentations and site visits.Assist with vetting for solar PV, BESS, generators, switchgear, and control providers.Work with contractors, engineers, and equipment providers to ensure the application of relevant codes and standards.Coordinate project management and prioritization. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering. At least 20 years in a related field can substitute for a degree in engineering.EXPERIENCE: 7 - 10 years relevant experience in power generation, preferably in distributed energy technologies and microgrids, with demonstrated increases of supervisory responsibility.TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word.COMPETENCIES: Ability to apply skill sets and demonstrate proven experience developing, improving and streamlining processes to meet established goals and objectives. Ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope.OTHER: PE License.JOB SCOPE: Position may impact multiple business units/segments.WORKING CONDITIONS: Works both inside an office environment and also outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels, and potentially dangerous equipment. Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders.
