　　Nike India is hiring for a Director, Marketing to be based in Nike’s Bangalore office. The Director, Marketing will be a leader who will develop strategies and plans to fuel business growth via creative development, market research, innovation, experiences, and stories that position Nike as an industry leading sport and lifestyle brand. We are looking for an expert in omni-channel Retail Brand Marketing with a deep understanding of the consumer, their lifestyle and how they shop.

　　This role requires a go-getter: someone curious and eager to innovate, to test and fail and learn and evolve. They should appreciate the art of creative and value the importance of data and consumer insights. They understand the technology and the role of our direct to consumers channels and are always ready to be a thought partner and a thought leader, a digital evangelist, and a consumer advocate.

　　We are looking for a Marketing leader with a positive, ambitious attitude, a passion for sport, fashion and laying the foundations for significant future business growth.

　　WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

　　In this role, you will develop and execute the longer-term Marketing and Brand Development strategy across business segments for the India marketplace. You will deliver best-practices in omni-channel executions and to create best-in-class end to end retail experiences. You will lead and own the Omni channel brand marketing strategy across India, working closely with Country, Regional and Global teams as well commercial teams. You will serve as a digitally led retail marketing expert to ensure close partnership and collaboration in driving a fully integrated marketing offense. You will oversee and indirectly lead expert retail disciplines (e.g. Visual Merchandising and Styling & EKIN Experience), Nike Direct Stores Concepts, Multi-brand Partner Marketing, supporting diversity and individual development.

　　This role requires you to have an excellent ability to influence, negotiate, prioritize, and focus. You will manage issues and resolve conflicts across cross functional teams, both internally and externally and maintain deliberate connections across functions and teams.

　　WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

　　In this role, you’ll report directly to the General Manager, India, also based in Bangalore and you will be part of the Nike India Leadership Team. You will indirectly manage a diverse India team tasked with laying the foundations for the next phase of growth for Nike India. You’ll work with stakeholders across India, the Southeast Asia & India (SEA&I) territory, as well as our Asia Pacific and Latin America (APLA) geography and Nike global organization.

　　WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE

　　Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field

　　Minimum 12 years of relevant marketing or brand development experience, ideally from a leading, rapid-growth, consumer-facing digital retail business.

　　High-level strategic thinker and idea generator, with excellent attention to detail and commitment to excellence.

　　Ability to communicate complex Digitally led Retail Marketing concepts across the organization in simplified, yet inspirational ways.

　　Strong business acumen and the ability to partner closely with commercial teams to create win-win situations.

　　Demonstrated connection to sport, fashion and retail as well as a deep understanding of the India consumer, marketplace trends and sporting industry (global and India).

　　Ability to influence and make strategic recommendations, draft presentation decks and present to marketing leadership.

　　Expertise in leading, mentoring and developing individuals, as well as proven cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
