About DIRECTOR HUMAN RESOURCES

  JOB SUMMARY:

  The Director of Human Resources is responsible for leading and implementing policies and programs to support talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, employee engagement, diversity, and inclusion initiatives, HRIS operations, learning and development, and total rewards. Participates in the development of the HR strategic plan at the organizational level representing the needs and objectives of Community Clinical Services.

  REQUIRED LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES AND DEFINING BEHAVIORS

  Recognizes and seizes opportunities to listen to the perspectives of key leaders, stakeholders, and partners locally and across the system; acts as key HR liaison between local and system structures.

  Ensures accurate and complete information flows freely through all stakeholders using appropriate media and methods.

  Actively engages various resources in developing and executing operational goals and objectives.

  Coach and Develop (People)

  Works collaboratively with direct reports in setting annual and “just in time” performance and learning goals, and preparing challenging performance and learning plans that are aligned to Covenant’s mission and values.

  Provides direct reports with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to successfully execute his/her performance goals.

  Deliberately sets aside time to prepare and conduct regular coaching sessions with direct reports to share critical information and to plan, review, improve, and praise performance.

  At regular intervals, utilizes a structured process for asking for, receiving, and acting on constructive feedback from direct reports and key stakeholders.

  Influence and Inspire (People/Partners)

  Creates an environment that enables individuals to fully utilize their talents by making them feel supported, important, encouraged, respected, and empowered.

  Successfully leads, motivates, and helps team members navigate through administrative and operational changes within the matrixed setting of a healthcare system/corporate setting.

  Utilizes a high degree of self-awareness to align leadership style to meet their direct reports' diverse work styles, perspectives, and needs.

  Demonstrates the ability to inspire innovation in human resource delivery and outcomes through the encouragement of team members to pursue learning and problem-solving in their areas of personal interest and passion.

  Recognizes, celebrates, and appropriately rewards team/team member accomplishments.

  Deliver Results (Performance)

  Drives the department to achieve and surpass business goals and objectives. Holds direct reports accountable for applying the knowledge and skills learned through developmental experiences to achieving performance goals.

  Prioritizes making the important urgent and is intolerant of postponement.

  Position Deliverables

  Organizational consensus on HR goals and objectives.

  COE strategies are aligned with local needs.

  Execution of local and system Employee Experience goals and objectives

  JOB REQUIREMENTS

  EDUCATION

  Bachelor’s degree

  EXPERIENCE

  2+ years of Human Resources experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

  Ability to work under pressure.

  FQHR experience is preferred, but not required.
