As the Director First Line Risk of Digital and Mobile Banking, you will represent the First Line of Defense and lead the business development and execution of policies and procedures that mitigate various types of risk at CFG. You will partner with the business and serve as a liaison, interfacing with business leaders to drive meaningful conversations on end-to-end risk and compliance policies within their function, strategize on solutions and mitigation activities, and develop remediation plans. You will promote a culture of risk and compliance awareness throughout the bank by supporting the development of training and education on risk policies and practices. You will provide leadership, expertise, and guidance to your team to design, implement, and influence internal governance processes and controls. You will be accountable for ensuring your team is in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, and work in conjunction with the Compliance team to minimize potential risk. Additionally, this role will have complete oversight of pilot programs, products, and strategies.
Responsibilities:
Lead the identification, and mitigation of material risks in the organization. Collaborate with various business leaders to address specific risk issues, assess solutions or mitigation activities, and develop remediation plans.
Design, implement, and/or influence internal governance processes. Manage Governance throughout the firm to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
Advise and help senior management understand and manage risk and help to allocate capital in order to maximize risk-adjusted returns.
Reviews current policies and procedures to identify process gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Promote a culture of risk awareness and accountability through training, education, and risk management consultative support.
Qualifications:
8-12+ years of experience in Risk Management, Audit, or Compliance.
Extensive risk management experience managing customer facing online and mobile banking applications executed through Agile methodologies including planning, implementation, and reporting; ideal candidate will possess a solid working knowledge of technology, business, and risk.
Prior experience implementing and supporting enterprise-wide Risk programs.
Demonstrated strong negotiation skills; including the ability to influence through use of compelling facts, thought-provoking discussion and logic.
Deep Knowledge and understanding of regulatory and legislative guidelines.
Proven relationship management skills, strong track record of ability to build trust and credibility through communication, actions and presence.
Extensive leadership skills including influencing without direct management.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree OR at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters/MBA/JD/MD) OR at least 5 years of work experience with a PhDHours and Work Schedule: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote (preferred)

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday
