Regions Hospital has an opportunity for an experienced healthcare professional to join our team to lead the clinician practice for Emergency Medicine and Medical Critical Care. as the Director of Medical and Specialty Care. The Director will report to the Vice President of Hospital Specialty Services and work in close partnership with the Physician department heads for Emergency Medicine and Medical Critical Care. The Director is accountable for all aspects of clinician practice including: Being accountable for physician and APC recruitment, retention, and compensation practices, including gathering and interpreting annual market-based salary survey information. Providing leadership for the administrative support team for Emergency Medicine, including practice program manager, scheduling and administrative support team, scribe team, and medical coding team. Providing direction for clinician scheduling needs across multiple sites, both internal and external to HealthPartners. Designing and implementing standardized practice metrics reporting Routinely analyzing operational data to identify opportunities for improvement. Identifying and leading key physician practice process improvement initiatives using standardized improvement methodologies. Assisting in business planning efforts by providing financial information, understanding business requirements and facilitating decision-making with stakeholders. Includes potential expansion, capacity planning, new services and program design. Meeting budget targets and driving financial improvement Leading business growth initiatives, including creation of pro formas and financial modeling. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related field Seven (7) years leadership experience in healthcare finance, management, operations, or related field including leadership experience in physician practice management.
