The Central Science team within Amazon's People eXperience and Technology org (PXTCS) uses economics, behavioral science, statistics, and machine learning to identify mechanisms and process improvements that simultaneously improve Amazon, the lives and well-being of Amazonians, and the value Amazonians see in the work they do. PXTCS is an interdisciplinary team that combines the talents of science and engineering to develop and deliver solutions that can be experimentally shown to contribute to achieving these goals.As Director of Applied Science for PXTCS, you will be responsible for leading multiple applied science and engineering teams through rapidly evolving and complex demands to define, develop, and deliver scalable products that make work easier, more efficient, and more rewarding for Amazonians. The base pay for this position ranges from $262,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $350,000/year in our highest geographic market.
