The Director and Head of Digital Platforms EMEIA is a member of the EMEIA E-Business Leadership team and will lead the development and execution of the organization's digital platform capability strategy, drive digital transformation, and optimize digital capabilities across the EMEIA division. This individual is responsible for leveraging digital technologies and innovative solutions to enhance consumer engagement, improve operational efficiency, and drive revenue growth.
Key responsibilities include leading the Digital platform Strategies and driving complete transformation of our ‘Best possible online experience’ strategy and operating model.
In addition, the role holder will lead the Digital platform Maturity reviews with all markets, The role holder will oversee digital investments, fostering collaboration among cross-functional teams, and ensure seamless integration of digital initiatives with overall business objectives.
What you would do as Director and Head of Digital Platforms
You will play a significant part in delivering the E-business strategy, implementing our web platforms for both B2B & DTC platforms along with other digital tools. Our ambition is to deliver the best possible online experience for the ASSA ABLOY customers and partners. As Director and Head of Digital Platforms EMEIA , you will be responsible for the build, management and optimization of a large number, customer-facing websites, so we expect the ideal candidate to possess significant previous experience in this area including implementing an effective website strategy.
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate significant experience in implementing e-Business and driving both internal and external adoption. Similarly, you be experienced in managing digital products, including backlog creation, user stories, user journey creation and rapid prototyping. You will do this in a cross-disciplined team framework, so familiarity with this environment is key.
In addition, we are also looking for the following:
Own and lead the development of the Divisional Digital Capabilities Strategy and approach, building a vision, strategy and roadmap that seamlessly connects to our broader organization digital transformation Ideally, but not essential, experience working on the following platforms:
Adobe Experience Manager
Adobe Commerce (Magento)
HCL Commerce
Sound technical expertise, with particular emphasis on web, analytics, mobile, search and e-commerce
Build and drive a culture of ‘Digital Excellence and Continuous Improvement’ enabled by sophisticated measurement techniques and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of digital initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
Build and execute the strategy including driving fact-based reviews of market and regional ‘readiness to win’ and ‘capability maturity’ reviews.
Vendor and Partner Strategic Approach: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with digital technology providers, agencies, and other external partners, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions and services. Own the global budget and shape regional deployment of spend on Digital Commerce capabilities.
Talent Leadership: Attract, retain, and develop top digital talent, fostering a high-performance team capable of driving digital success across the organization. Direct line management of a direct team of 6 associates and ownership to design and develop the resourcing approach as the business evolves and grows.
Knowledge & Experience
Knowledge of agile project management
A strong understanding of user research and testing
Sound knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, Tag manager
Excellent comprehension of the digital development process, including the importance of user-centred design methods
Good experience in developing and articulating customer journeys
Experience in project and change management.
Previously having ownership and budgetary control
Broad, diverse & significant e-commerce, sales, digital, marketing and customer experience with ability to impact and influence customers of all sizes at all levels of management.
Leadership experience to include membership of a leadership team and or large-scale strategic initiative requiring enterprise accountability and entrepreneurial thinking
International experience in different geographies, working across cultures, different markets, prior experience in managing different trade development and structures.
Strong track record of developing and executing visions and strategies with the ability to inspire and led a team/matrix organisation to deliver business results consistently.
Finally, willingness to travel across EMEIA is expected for this position, as is fluency in English language – both written and spoken.
