Director, Alternative Investments - Technical Strategy & Product Delivery
This is an excellent opportunity for a tech savvy associate to play a pivotal role in solving complex business challenges using technology in the investment operations domain.
The Purpose of This Role
We in the FFIO (Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations) Technology team/organization, handle applications that provide accounting and investment management support to Fidelity businesses. One of the newly formed products for Alternate Investment within the FFIO business unit requires a full stack engineering leader to develop new capabilities or enhance existing capabilities. Associate will be accountable for delivering quality technology solutions by collaborating with architects, technologists, and business partners.
How Your Work Impacts the Organization
We in Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO) provides accounting and investment management support services to Fidelity businesses. You will be playing a key technical leadership role in efficiently resolving technical issues and deliver new products that Fidelity wants to deliver through its Alternate Investment portfolio. Your work will help launching new alt product timely and with require accuracy in business processing.

Understand complex business issues and identify/create technical solutions to solve themDrive quality technical delivery and execution of new investment vehicles and product structures for Alternatives across FFIOManage technical delivery by providing day to day leadership in an agile environment Collaborating with internal and external product teams to deliver a cohesive solutionProvide a fresh technology perspective to resolve business problems that require quick turnaround and / or strategic scaleImplement innovative and industry standard solutionsOptimize and create efficiencies in E2E delivery experience by working with other technical leaders

Technical
Over 10 years of Asset Management Technology experience with exposure to Alternative Investing in areas like Derivatives, Liquid Alts and Private EquityAbility to design solutions with appropriate design patterns.Hands on experience in the full stack cloud development - AWS, Java, PL/SQL, AngularProficiency in development of applications in a cloud environment and applying cloud servicesUnderstanding of workflow products and its usage in applicationAnalyze, design and build light automation solution for quick turnaround of solutions for business problemsExperience in CI/CD and ATDD developmentAbility to define quality parameters and other standards for the developmentUnderstanding of performance and stability issues and experience in resolving it efficientlyExperience in developing green field projectsExperience in building strategic solutions in an agile mannerPrior experience in capability assessment, roadmap development, and prioritization

The Expertise We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related subject.15+ years of experience in software development.Financial services experience strongly preferred.Well-versed in agile project lifecycle methodology .
