Position Overview
DAI has embarked on an exciting global Digital Transformation Program (DTP), using digital technologies to help improve the way we work, including how we deliver, create, and collaborate. Our Transformation Program will improve the quality, relevance, efficiency, and impact of DAI´s business offering through better knowledge sharing, improved data usage, and more efficient business processes.
As an intern, you will work with the Change Management team to support the DTP. You will support Change Management, inclusive of strategic communications across the transformation initiative, to help inform, engage, and support our teams during each phase of the implementation of our new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
You will collaborate with cross-cutting teams including Programs, DAI Technology, Finance, and our project offices to support the implementation of our new systems. You may work on concurrent change management, communications, and training assignments.
Schedule flexibility is available. Work will be performed remotely with the option to work in DAI’s Bethesda, Maryland office. This temporary role can be completed on a full- or part-time basis and can last up to 12 months. DAI will accept applications for this paid internship starting in January 2024.
Responsibilities
Change Management Plans
· Support the maintenance and implementation of detailed change management plans including a Communications Plan, Sponsor Plan, People Manager Plan, Change Champion Network Plan, and Training Plan and support program workstreams to integrate change management activities into workstream project plans.
· Support effectiveness of change management activities, incorporating continuous improvement and best practices to the change management approach.
Communications
· Work with the Communications Manager in developing and disseminating communication assets which support the program’s change management objectives of increasing employee awareness, adoption, and usage of the new system.
· Support in the management of key stakeholder engagement, including communication to business process owners and subject matter experts.
· Work with the Communications Manager to create communications assets, including graphics, documents, and videos.
Additional responsibilities, as deemed necessary.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum Requirements:
· Current post-graduate or recently graduated study relevant to communications, change management, business, marketing, organizational change, organizational development, or a related field of study.
· Demonstrated interest in change management, communications, international development, and international business.
· Strong organizational capabilities, written communications, stakeholder management, and writing skills.
· Experience using Canva and/or other graphics and multi-media programs is desirable.
· Able to build and maintain excellent working relationships with staff at various levels of the organization and from diverse backgrounds.
· Ability to engage stakeholders and program team members, building relationships and trust with individuals at differing levels in the organization and within a geographically dispersed team.
· Demonstrated ability to create inclusive work environments and work effectively within a culturally diverse environment.
· Able to manage multiple initiatives and quickly adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
· Authorized to work in the United States.

Compensation & Benefits:
All internships at DAI are paid an hourly rate based on the individual’s current level of education, ranging from $22 per hour for those who have completed an undergraduate level degree to $27 per hour for those who have completed a graduate level degree.
Additionally, interns may be eligible to accrue sick leave based on their hours worked in accordance with local law; and may be eligible to participate in DAI’s 401(k) retirement plan, with a company match. Eligibility for DAI’s other health and welfare benefits is subject to the plan documents. Detailed information will be provided at the time a formal offer is extended.
