Siemens DI Sales organization ideally focuses on providing solutions tailored to the specific needs of companies operating across a multitude of discrete, process, and hybrid industries. The Digital Transformation Architect (DTA) organization within Siemens DI Sales, plays a crucial role in understanding customer needs, positioning the Siemens Digital Thread approach to digital transformation, aligning the value of Siemens solutions, and assisting potential clients in making informed decisions about adopting Siemens products and services. The DTA organization works closely with the Sales team in all upfront facets of the customer engagement model for our top tier opportunities.

We are looking for a Technical Account Manager (Digital Transformation Architect). This position can be based anywhere in the continental United States and is full-time remote.
You'll make an impact by:
Work with DI Sales to develop and execute strategic plans to penetrate and expand Siemens solutions within Major Accounts/Opportunities and communicate these plans to, and develop support from, critical stake holders in the Siemens organization.
Serve as a critical lead in the development of successful sales strategies aligned to Campaigns and Digital Threads for competitive displacement and broadening the overall Siemens portfolio usage within the customer.
Leverage Siemens Digital Thread foundation tools – eXplorer, SolutionLink, Digital Experience Centers – to support the end to end selling campaign with the customer.
Drives relationship management with CXO-Level, buying center and major decision-makers at the customer in order to add value and position Siemens as a trusted advisor for their digital transformation.
Utilizing advanced knowledge of customer business needs, engineering and manufacturing processes, industry best practices and competitive differentiation to lead technical campaigns coordinating Siemens resources (presales, business development, application engineers) and partnering resources to win new business including the development and delivery of presentations, demonstrations, proof of concepts, proposals, as well as conduct business, technology, and status reviews.
Establish and build a trusted advisor relationship from both a business and technical perspective with major accounts/opportunities, sales executives, and technical resources.
Develop a keen understanding of the customer’s specific business and technical drivers and major initiatives.
Provide guidance on the technical capabilities and business value of their current and proposed Siemens solutions.
Develop a strong high-level knowledge of the entire breadth of Siemens' DI Automation portfolio, along with an understanding of how this portfolio ties in with the DI Software portfolio to support comprehensive digital threads.
Develop a working knowledge of key digital thread(s) applicable to our customers and be able to lead level 1 and level 2 discussions of said digital threads along with supporting resources.
Supports the development of solution-based automation/digitalization concepts/standards and provides expert guidance on opportunities
Lead short term (1-2) day “workshops” or assessments with customers in conducting scoping workshops, maturity assessments, road mapping, etc in support of the discovery and selling process.
Support/lead in the efforts to ensure the DI AUT portfolio is represented fully in key digital thread assets and supporting tools – eXplorer and SolutionLink and consistent with what a customer will experience in one of our Digital Experience Centers.
Lead the team response to client requests for information (RFI, etc.), proposals (RFP, RFQ, etc.), demonstrations and proof of concept evaluations.
Manage customer technical queries and coordinate the resources that respond.
As warranted, record and distribute results of client meetings and subsequent agreements.
Support Sales in maintaining a dashboard of all active customer opportunities with status, effort, maturity, selection criteria, business case maturity, etc.
Document and share best practices and customer success stories across the organization.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of manufacturing methods and processes, production operations, automation experience in select industries including Semiconductor, Aerospace & Defense EV Battery, Heavy Equipment, Chemical, Hydrogen, Auto, or Packaging.
5+ years of technical consulting, or support experience which includes performing proof of concepts, defining requirements and scope deployment, as well as being part of the selection process.
8+ years of overall experience in aforementioned criteria would also be considered and potentially evaluated for a more senior version of this role.
Must currently reside in the continental USA.

Excellent verbal group presentation and written communications skills.
Excellent organizational skills that positively influence teams with a common understanding of what success looks like.
BS/BA in an engineering or manufacturing-related discipline.
Self-starter, motivated and able to work with a minimum of direct supervision.
Experience leading and managing teams of technical and business consultants from within, and outside of their formal organization.
Must be open to an average of 25% travel, almost exclusively domestic.
Proven success and experience in an Engineering/Manufacturing Engineering role in select discrete and/or process industries.
Working knowledge ofcomplex manufacturing solutions and some experience in automation architectures involving multiple products and technologies
Proven record of ability to present technology solutions and defend business value justification in front of groups while incorporating specific selling techniques.
Experience and comfortable with executive level engagement
Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate has comprehensive knowledge in architecting complex solutions and has experience in automation architectures involving multiple products and technologies including: Controllers (PLCs), Networking, HMI Panels, SCADA, PC-Based Automation, Machine Safety, Motion Control and Drives, Digital Twin / Simulation, OT/IT Integration and edge devices
A working understanding of MES and PLM, as well as ERP software solutions and the role these solutions play with the broader automation portfolio.

The pay range for this position is $88,340 - $151,440 and the annual incentive target is 25% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
