  In your role as a Digital Sales Technical Specialist (internally called a Solutions Architect) supporting Red Hat, you are the technical expert and advisor to our clients, sales teams and/or Business Partners. You understand the client's business/technical requirements and/or competitive landscape and combine this with your knowledge of Red Hat offerings to present solutions that drive value for clients. You'll need to have cloud-native thinking, technical expertise, passion for open source, a thorough understanding of business processes, and the ability to identify and solve issues at the enterprise level.

  Your Role and Responsibilities

  NOTE: This role requires the ability to be in the Coppell, TX - IBM office two (2-3) days each week.

  IBM Digital Technical Specialists (DTS) have extensive technical knowledge to sell Brand-specific Digital Sales Focus Products to clients, and to overcome all technical barriers to sales opportunities.

  They act as technical experts who design viable client solutions by leveraging current product capabilities while providing input to product teams for solutions refinement.

  DTS's are hands-on practitioners with a focus on customized experiential selling - the 'show me, don't tell me' approach.

  They maintain strong platform and product knowledge, articulate the value proposition or Return of Investment (ROI), understand the competitive landscape, and construct relevant use cases to drive sales.

  Digital Technical Specialists are responsible for creating and delivering technical proof points through technical accelerators, to include but not limited to demonstrations, Proof of Technology (POTs), Proof of Concept (POCs), Workshops, Solution Design, Configurations, Sizing, Proposals and MVPs.

  Digital Technical Specialists align to the Digital Sales GTM strategies and have the ability to leverage digital tools and social platforms in their role.

The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year. This position was posted on the date cited in the key job details section and is anticipated to remain posted for 21 days from this date or less if not needed to fill the role. This position is eligible for participation in an IBM Sales Incentive plan. Actual incentive opportunity will be based on performance and the eligible Target Incentive, as addressed in the applicable plan, all of which is subject to change. The compensation range listed for this position is the IBM Reference Salary that is used when you are not actively participating in a sales plan. Your actual base pay plus incentive opportunity will be determined by the Incentive Plan assigned to you. We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories, consistent with applicable law.
