About Dietary Aide

  Mary Wade Home is looking for a full-time Dietary Aide to help prepare meals for our residents.

Stringent infection control guidelines are followed to ensure resident and employee safety.

  Our resident population is primarily seniors with varying levels of acuity.

  Hourly Rate: $ 16.00

  Schedule: Full-Time: 40hrs/wk: 6:00am to 2:00pm with possibility of working later in the afternoon and evenings as needed.

  Job Responsibilities/Qualifications:

  Sets up tray and wagon for service of food to residents and staff

  Directs resident concerns, questions, and suggestions to Director of Culinary Services.

  Previous healthcare food industry experience a plus.

  Assists with food preparation

  Cleans dishes, utensils and trays ensuring sanitary condition.

  Obtains food supplies from store rooms.

  Reads and understands therapeutic break-downs, menus, individual diet codes and tray cards.

  Operates kitchen machinery in accordance with standards and procedures.

  Assists with setup for meal service on resident units. Set up includes preparing all food items and all items needed for meal service, plates, utensils, special equipment needed and all adaptive equipment.

  Prepares desserts, special resident requests and items needed for meal service on units. Separates and make sure all items on menus are on units or in cool check containers.

  To complete dish room assignments as needed

  This position will float to the dietary department at Chatham Place, our Assisted Living community.

  Keeps store room in order and puts away stock.
