Diesel Technician 3:30PM - 12AM Shift

　　Description

　　We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our team in Kearny, NJ.

　　* This is a second shift position. Working hours are Monday - Friday from 3:30pm to 12:00am. The employee will be required to work on the day shift for the 1st 90 days prior to moving to night shift.

　　In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

　　Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop

　　Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools.

　　Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles.

　　Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies.

　　Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products

　　Maintain own tools.

　　In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

　　(Entry):

　　Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics

　　Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality.

　　(Intermediate):

　　Completes complex internal engine repairs.

　　Performs engine overhauls with limited direct supervision.

　　(Advanced):

　　Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools

　　Larger more complicated engine rebuilds.

　　Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation.

　　Education, Licenses, Certifications

　　Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)

　　Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution

　　Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)

　　This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

　　Experience

　　Minimal level of work shop experience required

　　Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

　　This is a union branch and this is a union role. Candidate will have to join the union. This is a second shift position. Working hours are Monday though Friday from 3:30pm to 12:00am. Hours are subject to change due to business needs.

　　The employee will be required to work on day shift for the 1st 90 days and then will be moved to their permanent shift.

　　This position does not require any Department of Transportation (DOT) related pre-screeningsCompensation and Benefits
