Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance onCompany owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment includingrolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely Compensation:\$22-\$26/hr (Higher Dependent on EXP) Key Responsibilities: Diagnoseand repair operational difficulties with heavy duty diesel trucks andequipment. Maintain and repair heavy diesel, CNG, gas and electricallyoperated equipment and vehicles. Complete reports, work orders, orderparts and perform other administrative duties as required daily. Planand schedule repairs in M5 planner and procure all parts for successfulplan. Assist in the review of mechanical write-ups on equipment andcoordinate repair schedule. Ensure safe working conditions andcompliance with all safety regulations. Utilize a variety of power andhand tools and equipment. Possess, provide and maintain tools necessaryto perform tasks related to maintenance on heavy/hydraulic equipment.Maintain a clean work area. Conform in all respects with applicablefederal, state/provincial and local laws, regulations, ordinances andother orders and to all company policies, procedures and directives fromsupervisors. Assist in the training and orientation of new employees.Maintain a working knowledge of and keep up with the latest technologythrough the use of technical manuals and attendance of technicaltraining seminars and testing. Perform other duties and responsibilitiesas required or requested by management. Requirements: High schooldiploma or general education degree (GED); technical diploma desired.Minimum of one (1) year experience as a diesel mechanic Experience usingdiagnostic software a plus Must be computer literate, have the abilityto be trained on software systems and the willingness to learn. Must beable to meet relevant criteria for safety sensitive functions accordingto Company standards Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability tocommunicate effectively with others. Demonstrate ability to followdetailed instructions, work independently and maintain accurate records.Ability to understand and effectively use repair and parts manualswritten in English. Ability to operate any vehicle or equipmentnecessary to perform job. Possess physical ability to perform allaspects of job. Physical/Mental Demands: Ability to stand, sit, walk,use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear,climb, balance, taste, and smell. Continuous concentrated mental andvisual attention required. Visual Requirements: include close vision,distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, andability to adjust focus. Frequent physical effort including handlingtools and equipment required. Frequently lift/push/pull up to 100pounds. Working Conditions: Frequently exposed to loud noise, humidity,hot and cold weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, vibration,toxic and caustic chemicals, fumes and airborne particles.
