JOB REQUIREMENTS: REPORTS TO: Community Outreach Director POSITIONSUMMARY: The Development Manager assists in increasing the fundraisingcapacity of Habitat for Humanity of the Greater La Crosse Region toprovide and preserve affordable housing opportunities and create acommunity where all feel they belong. Habitat for Humanity is lookingfor a full-time development professional to assist with the marketing,planning, management, and implementation of its fundraising programs.Primary duties of the Development Manager will be researching andwriting appropriate grants and strategically developing, executing, andexpanding fundraising efforts. This position will be responsible forcareful stewardship of the affiliate\'s brand and telling \"The Habitatstory\" with creativity, thought, and intention throughout theorganization. RESPONSIBILITIES: Donor Management In partnership with theCommunity Outreach Director, develop and direct a diversifiedfundraising program that supports Habitat\'s strategic plan. Build andmaintain relationships, continuing to build and develop Habitat forHumanity of the Greater La Crosse Region\'s support base across theregion and deepen its connections in the communities we serve. Createand implement strategies to identify and develop relationships with newindividual donors and deepen relationships with existing donors built ona firm understanding of donors\' interests, passions and values. Createand implement strategies to identify and develop relationships withcorporations and local businesses, community organizations and churches.Personally, and partnering with the Board and additional staff tocultivate and solicit gifts, both monetary and in-kind, with progressivegrowth in subsequent years. Manage donor pipeline including thescheduling of meetings, follow up communications and maintain regularconnections to current and potential donors. Develop and manage a majorgifts program including charitable gift annuity and wills/bequests.Grant Writing Research public and private grants sources (agencies,corporations, foundations) to identify sources of restricted andunrestricted funding that will support budgetary needs. Write and submitgrants Develop grant tracking process. Oversee reporting requirementsfor any grants received. QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred Bachelor\'s Degree inMarketing, Communications, or similar field. Commensurate experiencewill be considered. Able to relate well to diverse populationsage, race,class, gender, and creed Willing to work evenings and weekends ifnecessary. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with theability to produce written content and spoken content is required.Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, use of the web, and customermanagement systems. POSITION INFORMATION \$40,000 to \$50,000/yearcommensurate on experience (negotiable). This is a full-time, salariedposition (able to work occasional weekends and/or evenings).
