Description We are offering a contract for a permanent position as a Desktop Support Analyst in the manufacturing industry, located in Houston, Texas. The Desktop Support Analyst will be a key member of our team, involved in supporting migrations of workstations, documenting technical processes, and frequently interfacing with corporate executives.

Responsibilities:

• Support workstation migrations from Windows 10 2019 Office to Windows 11 Office 365 platform

• Document technical guidance for end-user/manager consumption and create new technical guidance processes when necessary

• Proficiently utilize Windows administrative components to support troubleshooting and development of implementation strategies

• Interpret and execute fundamental command line functions required to modify endpoint configuration attributes

• Troubleshoot software installation conflicts and software configuration

• Understand and customize OS components fundamental to configuration and customization of the Windows environment

• Manage on-premises ADUC, Active Roles, and Microsoft Entra group object, device object, and OU

• Analyze routing, DHCP, and DNS configuration attributes relative to assigned work objectives

• Use RDP and other enterprise remote desktop viewers to control and remotely support user issues

• Use software center to deploy applications and software updates, and configuration manager client to apply workstation policy

• Image workstations with the use of PXE boot methodology, and install appropriate matching software drivers, bios updates, and bios configurations Requirements • Proficiency in Computer Hardware, capable of diagnosing and resolving hardware issues.

• Extensive knowledge of Active Directory, with the ability to manage and maintain user accounts and access.

• Familiarity with Backup Technologies, ensuring data safety and integrity.

• Experience with Configuration Management, able to maintain and adjust system settings as needed.

• Proficient in Windows, particularly Windows 10 and Windows 11.

• Strong understanding of Office 365, capable of troubleshooting and providing user support.

• Ability to provide technical support, identify issues, and implement effective solutions.

• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and other staff.
