Design Engineer Transportation, Rochester, New York. Be responsible for developing design reports, horizontal and vertical alignments, stormwater drainage, signs, pavement markings and cost estimates.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Performs technical tasks including research, reports, technical highway design, specifications and plan preparation.

　　Assist Project Managers with all aspects of project development with the final outcome of developing a PS&E plan set.

　　Assists the Project Manager with presentations and meeting with clients.

　　Requirements:

　　Candidates shall possess a BS degree in civil engineering.

　　5-10 years of progressive technical experience, diversified knowledge preferred with a focus on highway design projects in New York.

　　New York professional registration required.

　　Prior experience with NYSDOT, NYSTA and Locally Administered Federal Aid projects.

　　Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, InRoads or OpenRoads required.

　　Experience working on NYSDOT projects or knowledge of specifications and standards.

　　Experience with Roadway Design and Plan Preparation.

　　Ability to manage and take responsibility of technical work content and tasks.

　　Proficient with planning, scheduling, cost estimating, conducting, and coordinating detailed phases of engineering projects.

　　Proficient verbal and written communication skills, including proposal and report writing.
