　　Job Information

　　The Design Engineer will create and maintain engineered designs of assigned products, systems, or components to be competitive in function, manufacturability, and marketability.

　　Role & Responsibility

　　Engineered Design Creation

　　Create, modify, analyze, and maintain the engineering design of assigned products, systems, and components.

　　Be aware of trends and developments in product design to determine and apply new techniques, materials, and procedures beneficial to assigned product designs.

　　Work in a team atmosphere with other departmental functions (service, production, tooling, marketing, dealers, etc.) to complete assigned projects.

　　Participate and assist in project planning through the completion of product specifications, product cost estimates, project timelines, and resource requirements.

　　Prepare and participate in product engineering presentations to other engineering and departmental functions.

　　Direct engineering testing and analyze results of tests on prototype and production machines.

　　Provide Staff Direction and Training

　　Provide design direction to other product design personnel in the completion of assigned work.

　　Assist in the training and development of assigned product design personnel.

　　Job Requirement

　　Proficient at Creo Parametric and/or other computer engineering tools.

　　Ability to clearly communicate technical data and project information in verbal and written form.

　　Ability to work independently with little supervision as well as in teams.

　　Ability to perform basic engineering calculations and interpret test and analysis results.

　　Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering

　　Experience Required: 0-10 years (Level DOE)

　　Travel Required: <10%

　　Advantageous Experience Areas

　　Relevant product development experience with compressors or generators

　　Relevant product development experience with construction, agriculture, forestry, or utility equipment

　　Design & fabrication of components from light & heavy gauge steel components.

　　Selection of isolation mount hardware

　　Selection of axles, wheels, and tires for trailers

　　Familiarity with DOT and other regulatory requirements for trailers

　　Diesel engines and exhaust system components

　　Aftertreatment and DEF systems required for T4 compliant diesel engines

　　Structural analysis on welded and/or fabricated steel components

　　Geometric Dimension & Tolerancing

　　Finite Element Analysis
