Join CAE’s Business Aviation Training team as Deputy Training Manager at our Business Aviation Flight Training Centre in Burgess Hill, West Sussex.
The role we are offering you
This role requires you to act as a Deputy Training Manager, on behalf of the Local Head of Training, to support the Training Management team as required on a day-to-day basis especially during periods of absence, sickness, and/or leave, of any members of the established Training Management team, providing succinct, timely and considered decisions in support of the Centre’s active training function.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Complexity and Creativity – Problem Solving. Attention to detail and focus are key in this role, along with a drive to solve problems with a solution based mindset. Independent thinker that is not afraid to communicate issues or conflicts.
Data input and Analysis - Instructor qualification tracking, Conflict reporting, TCA management (chasing/reviewing), Time and attendance monitoring, Platform scorecard reporting.
Responsible for supporting the Training Management team obtaining and checking Initial Pre-Requisites and TCA’s
Report monthly on Key Performance Indicators like Office Vibe, Client Direct, NPS, Instructor Qualifications and Ad hoc usage
Act as a conduit for the instructor workforce in Burgess Hill, supporting with any queries as necessary.
Working with TA, AEs, Planning, HR, and other stakeholders to support key business tasks, including Instructor recruitment (Planning interviews/assessments, supporting open days)
Supporting the onboarding process for the Instructors – Instructor travel, Instructor Induction, IT Etc.
Our ideal candidate
Has previous aviation crew scheduling and/ or aviation operational experience.
Brings thorough working knowledge of aviation regulatory matters.
Brings excellent communication skills and interpersonal ability.
Is flexible within the broad remit of the role and an agent for change.
Can demonstrable ability to work within a multi-disciplined organisation and to leverage peers expertise when needed.
Has strong stakeholder relationship management.
Is results oriented, delivering on commitments.
Has the ability to identify optimal customer solutions.
Brings excellent IT skills, essentially Microsoft Word and Excel.
Has excellent organisational skills and a team player attitude.
