Job Description
As the Deputy Program Manager (DPM), you will be part of aprogram managementteam (PMO) operating in the Tysons/Sterling, VA area. Together with a Program Manager (PM), you willbe designatedasKey Personnel responsible for a roughly 1,000-person program.ThePMandDPM are responsibleforensuringall ofthe project activitiesare performed and completedinatimely,cost-effective, and efficientmannerwithout compromising thequalityofthe performanceanddeliverables. The PMO is theofficialpointof contact for the COTR andmaintainscloseliaisonwiththeCOTRandCO. ThePMandDPMareresponsibleforunderstandingSponsorrequirementsand ensuringthatprogrampersonnelare fulfilling theserequirements.ThePMO is responsibleforthe quality,content, andpromptdelivery of all task and contractualdeliverablesassociated withtheprogram.
ThePMO isvested with the authoritynecessary to meet these responsibilities,and hasdirectaccessto the BAE Systemscorporateupper management, as needed,to obtainproject resourceson a timelybasis.ThePMandDPMareresponsibleforplanning,organizing,controlling,directing,andstaffingthe technical,administrative,financial,contractual,and personnelactionsrequired, and the PMO mustensure all activities areperformedand completedina timely,costeffective, andefficient manner without compromisingthe quality of thedeliverables.
The PMO is responsiblefor staffing theprogramwithproperlytrained, experienced, and clearedpersonnelwithin the prescribedrequirements; correctlymatching personnelskillsto tasks; assessing the suitability ofpersonnel to meet requirements; ensuringmission requirementsare adequately staffedat alltimes; providingcost tracking andreportingwithinthe prescribedstaffinglevels; managingan access-controlled portal site to monitor theprogressofthe program; providing general support,to includeon/offboarding,emergency evacuation coordination, emergencynotification,security, andlocatortracking; submitting weekly activityreportsandmonthlystatusreviews; reportingall significanttechnicalchallenges,problems,and/orissuesas soon as they arediscovered; participating inall formalprogramreviews; and ensuringthatallwork performed isof ahigh qualityandmeets needswithin funding,timing,and staffing constraints.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
Five years' experience serving in a core labor category position, and /or managing officers in core labor categories, which include:
SOOs, CMOs, COs, TOs, CAOs, CIOs, PPOs
Five years' experience managing large (50 person) and complex programs, to include:
Quality, content, and timely delivery of task and contractual deliverables
Responsibility for planning, organizing, controlling, directing, and staffing contracts
Handling varied personnel actions, from hiring, mentoring, and firing
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience leading staffing-type contracts
Experience with portals/dashboards that represent the health of a program
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $147300 - $250400
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
