  Departmental Analyst (Trainee) 9-P11:

  This position functions as the equipment and facilities analyst for the Forest Resources Division (FRD). The position is responsible for supporting the review and preparation of documents related to the purchase and acquisition of equipment. Position is involved with development of specific contract specifications for the purchase and maintenance of equipment and facilities. Division works with DTMB and FRD staff on capital outlay projects.

  Departmental Analyst 12:

  This position functions as the recognized equipment and facilities coordinator for the Forest Resources Division (FRD). Responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and preparing documents related to the purchase and acquisition of equipment. Coordinates the repair, replacement, and disposal of facilities. Position also serves as point of contact for development of specific contract specifications for the purchase and maintenance of equipment and facilities. Division point of contact for capital outlay projects to determine the type of construction project; what process will be required to obtain quotes/bids; prepare contract and procurement documents and follow through on construction and payment.

  One year of professional experience.

  Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.

  Three years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service.

  Education and Experience for Departmental Analyst (Departmental Trainee) 9 (FOR CLASSIFIED STATE EMPLOYEES ONLY)

  Education

  Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.

  Experience

  Four years of experience as an advanced 9-level worker in an ECP Group One classification.

  OR

  Three years of experience as an E9, E10, or E11-level worker in an ECP Group One classification.

  OR

  Two years of experience as an experienced level worker in an ECP Group One technician or paraprofessional classification.

  OR

  Two years of experience as a first-line supervisor in an ECP Group Three classification.

  OR

  One year of experience as a second-line supervisor in an ECP Group Three classification.

  *Paraprofessional classifications are those requiring an associate's degree or two years of college.

  Educational Substitution

  College credits may be substituted on a proportional basis (one year of college education may substitute for one quarter of the required experience) for up to one half of the required experience.

  Departmental Analyst (Departmental Trainee 9) 9 - 12

  Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.

  Vacation and Sick Leave:Eligible full-time employees receive between15 and 35 personal daysand13 sick daysper year that may be rolled over to the following year if not used. Eligible employees also receive an additional day each year for community service or school functions.

  Paid Parental Leave:Eligible employees can take12 weeks of paid leaveimmediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.

  Paid Holidays:Eligible employees receive 13 or 14 paid holidays each year including New Year’s Eve and Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Election Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Friday, Christmas Eve and Day.

  Bonus Programs:Eligible employees with five years of service also receive annual longevity bonuses that grow as seniority increases. Some positions also may qualify for recruitment, retention, and performance bonuses or other special pay premiums.

  Military Pay Differential:Employees in the guard or reserves may also qualify for supplemental pay benefits if miliary pay during qualifying duty is less than normal state pay. Prior military service may also allow seniority credits to accelerate eligibility for longevity bonuses and additional personal leave accrual.

  Tax-Advantaged Programs:In addition to 401(k) and 457 retirement accounts, the state also offers flexible spending account (FSA), health savings account (HSA), and qualified transportation fringe benefit (QTFB) programs that can help you save money by reducing your taxable income.
