DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis intern position is for the Northeast Region, Air Quality Program. As an intern, you will provide office support inputting and tracking emissions data and source testing for the Marcellus Shale region as well as the Mercury and Air Toxics requirements. Additionally, you will also conduct outreach and compliance assistance with Auto Body Shops and Dry Cleaners, as well as assist regional staff with Onbase backlog.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time internship that will last from 5/1/2024 through 8/30/2024.Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Telework: Interns will have the opportunity to work from home (telework), part-time on a schedule that aligns with their supervisor, so they are in the office on the same days. No full time telework will be approved. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you must report to the office in Wilkes-Barre.Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. QUALIFICATIONSInternship Requirements:Current full-time enrollment in a bachelor's degree or advanced degree program in one of the following majors:Environmental ScienceEnvironmental StudiesFreshman year completedGood academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher)Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university
Additional Requirements:This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial driver's license.You must be able to perform essential job functions.
