DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this role, you will get hands-on experience in the beautiful Lake Erie and Delaware Estuary Coastal Zones! You'll have the opportunity to assist in collecting sidescan sonar and underwater video data for mapping and documenting native freshwater mussels. Additionally, you will be involved in measuring erosion along the lake and exploring coastal zone wetland sites. As part of your role, you will also support the implementation of Pennsylvania's Coastal Zone grant program, contribute to mapping projects, and assist in examining and scanning important documents.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time internship that will last from 5/1/2024 through 8/30/2024Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunchTelework: Interns will have the opportunity to work from home (telework), part-time on a schedule that aligns with their supervisor, so they are in the office on the same days. No full time telework will be approved. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you must report to the office in Harrisburg.Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.
