　　DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn your role as an Intern, you will play a crucial part in supporting the staff by helping them plan and execute extensive surveys of waterbodies. These surveys are essential for monitoring and evaluating the quality of surface waters across the Commonwealth. It's important to note that this position may require overnight travel to ensure the successful completion of the assigned tasks.

　　Full-time employmentThe employment period will occur between the dates of 5/1/24 - 8/30/24.Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.Telework: Interns will have the opportunity to work from home (telework), part-time on a schedule that aligns with their supervisor, so they are in the office on the same days. No full time telework will be approved. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. 　　Current full-time enrollment in a bachelor's degree, or advanced degree program in one of the following majors:Environmental ScienceBiologyAn approved major course of study at an accredited college or universityFreshman year completedGood academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher)Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university
