  POSITION TITLE: Dental Office Manager

  CLASSIFICATION: Full-time 40 hours per week; Exempt

  COMPENSATION: $58,240 to $68,640 annually depending onqualifications and company parity

  START DATE: Immediate; position remains open until filled.

  REPORTS TO: Chief Dental Officer

  Summary of Position:

  This position will assist the Chief Dental Officer in planning, directingand coordinating all services within the dental clinic including the deliveryof quality care, hiring and on-going supervision of personnel and managingthe daily operations within the practice. This position will manage amulti-site practice. The ideal candidate will consistently model a missioncentered service attitude and support and encourage team members.

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  Works closely with the CDO in overseeing clinic performance.Manages daily operations at multiple clinic sites and coordinates workactivities.Hires, trains, and supervises front and back-office personnel to ensureexcellent patient experience.Manages clinic and staff schedules.Gives specific feedback and coaching to employees regarding jobperformance, expectations of position and sets goals for upcomingyear.Develops and implements workflows, office policies and procedures.Oversees the dental practice accounts receivable, including grantsdirected for patient care.Ensures compliance with all system - wide/departmental policies andprocedures, including maintaining patient confidentiality, as well ascompliance with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies(i.e. OSHA, CLIA, Department of Health, HRSA, etc.).Handles patient grievances, complaints and department incident reports.Ensures office space, supplies, and equipment are provided andmaintained appropriately for dental staff.Works with senior management to ensure operations are aligned withorganizational objectives and meet performance and budget objectives.Skills and Requirements:

  Capacity to build rapport, strong team development, motivating highperformance and quality production.Affinity for public relations. Able to work well with team members andvolunteers in all departments within ICHC and the public at large.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  Provides clear, positive, and constructive communications (both writtenand verbal) to all members of the dental team and dental patients ofICHC.

  Able to craft, organize and implement policies and procedures.Ability to manage projects, solve problems and take initiative.Ability to develop, promote and monitor quantitative and qualitativeperformance measures.Ability to analyze and evaluate organizational efficiencies andproductivity as well as identify deficiencies.Ability to intervene in delicate and difficult employee relations withcandor, restraint, confidentiality, and wisdom.Excellent time management skills and able to multi-task.This position description in no way states or implies that these are the onlyduties to be performed by the team member occupying this position. The listedrequirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skillsand/or abilities. To perform this job successfully, the team member mustpossess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently.Furthermore, passing a thorough backgro nd check is a requirement foremployment with ICHC.

  Education and/or Experience:

  High School Diploma - Bachelor's degree in health, nonprofit, public orbusiness administration, or related field, preferred.Minimum of two years previous experience in the dental field, supervisoryexperience preferred.Bilingual - Spanish, preferred.Physical Requirements:

  Normal work environment is in an office and medical and dental clinicalsetting, which involves some physical risks requiring basic safetyprecautions. This position routinely requires sitting, standing,bending/stooping, operating a computer for extended periods, and liftingor carrying objects up to 25 pounds.
