  Job Description

  AECOM has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Environmental Engineer to join our Remediation team in our Latham office. You will work with a diverse team of technical leaders across a broad range of practice areas delivering remediation consulting services to our key clients with a focus on site management and remediation projects.

  The successful candidate will be committed to the team’s success and growth. They will rigorously apply safety policies and procedures; will manage the technical, cost and schedule elements of project delivery.

  The ideal candidate will effectively manage the quality of field efforts and project deliverables within the bounds of the AECOM Quality Management System. This position looks for excellent written and spoken communication skills, organizational and time management skills, flexibility to work on a range of projects, and a positive attitude.

  The job responsibilities for the position will include, but will not be limited to:

  Work collaboratively with the NY/NJ Remediation Area Manager and other teams within the Remediation department, and professionals within other AECOM internal business lines.

  Develop new business, including marketing and proposing to potential and existing clients, and be integral in process of securing and managing clients and contracts.

  Act as Project Manager on large, complex projects, responsible for technical delivery, schedule management, fiscal management, client liaison, reporting requirements, and coordination with project team members.

  Coordinate and prepare written reports, work plans, and technical memorandums; analyze data and develop supported conclusions.

  Proactively identify opportunities to increase project efficiencies, improve technical methodologies and add value to client service offerings.

  Assist with development of junior staff through ongoing mentoring.

  Qualifications

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  BA/BS + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  Valid U.S Driver’s License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records Review

  PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  Bachelors Degree in Environmental Engineering or related field

  9+ years of experience in Environmental investigations and site remediation

  Experience with CERCLA and RCRA remediation programs at complex sites

  OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification

  Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification

  Understanding of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, Bluebeam)

  Additional Information

  Relocation is not available for this position.

  Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (NY locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $125,000.
