JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Registered Dental Hygienist\'s main purpose is todeliver appropriate patient care to help aid the patient in achievingoptimal oral health. The Registered Dental Hygienist will do this byhelping to address the needs of the patient in order to be successfulwith overall health and wellness. Receive and prepare patients fortreatment. Cleans calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teethand beneath margins of gums. Examines gums to locate periodontalrecessed gums and signs of gum disease. Place fluoride varnish to helpin the prevention of oral health disease. Places sealants on posteriorteeth to help in the prevention of oral health disease. Take digitaldental x-rays to help aid the dentist in proper diagnosis of oral healthconditions. Charts conditions of decay and disease for diagnosis andtreatment by dentist. Administers local anesthetic agents.
