The Delivery Merchandising Specialist is a full-time positionresponsible for delivering and merchandising Frito-Lay product tovarious customers. This role will work an average of \45 hours per weekand hours and start times vary by assigned route. This role willtypically deliver to 2-4 stores and then merchandise 1-2 stores eachday.
The delivery aspect of this role includes being responsible for safelyoperating a truck to transport product to and from specifieddestinations while complying with Federal Motor Carrier SafetyRegulations. Please be aware that most of our locations have runs thatrequire the loading of product cases onto carts for delivery to customeraccounts and subsequent loading/unloading of carts onto and off of atruck. Required work hours may be up to the legal limits allowed by theFederal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, and dispatch at varioustimes from late in the evening through early morning, returning homedaily and require weekend and/or holiday work. This role is responsiblefor pre- and post-trip truck inspections, driver\'s daily logs, andunloading empty carts and cardboard at the end of each run. This role isalso responsible for preparing product for delivery (carting),delivering product, checking in product with store personnel, picking upreturns and completing logs and other paperwork related to deliveries.
Key delivery responsibilities are:\* Being responsible for the correct sequence and order of carts fromdead stack deliveries\* Delivering product to assigned route stores\* Checking in orders with store receiver\* Being responsible for returning empty carts and cardboard fromstores\* Managing the sorting and bundling of cardboard at Frito-Lay Facility\* Properly sorting and filing all proof-of-delivery and other dailyreconciliation paperwork\* Being responsible for Overs and Shorts variance resolution
The merchandising aspect includes being responsible for merchandisingFrito-Lay\'s complete line of quality products to existing accounts.When not making deliveries, you may drive your personal vehicle toseveral store locations. This work is pivotal in transforming storeaisles, end caps, and displays into works of art, from the lowest shelfto the highest shelf.
The merchandising key responsibilities are:\* Safely and efficiently placing/stocking product within therecommended pattern following defined account standards in all sellinglocations\* Rotating shelved product in all selling locations\* Cleaning and straightening shelves/racks, checking code dates, andremoving unsaleables\* Checking shelves/racks for appearance and pricing accuracy\* Assembling and/or teardown promotional and other displays\* Displaying promotional material such as signs and banners inaccounts\* Removing trash and/or non-Frito Lay product from all sellinglocations\* Ensuring back-room inventory reaches the sales floor and organize,place and maintain any remaining back-room inventory in proper location\* Executing proper carton return procedures\* Utilizing provided technology for task management as assigned
Minimum Qualifications\* Must have or be able to develop a thorough understanding of theFrito-Lay route delivery system (HHC, truck, customer interaction)?Exhibits strong communication skills with customers\* Must meet all Frito-Lay and DOT qualifications\* Have a valid drivers license with proof of insurance and ability toobtain any additional licenses or endorsements required by your state\* Must work in all weather conditions\* Regular, reliable, predictable attendance\* May be required to drive personal vehicle\* Work safely and comply with all identified Frito Lay and storeprocedures, work rules and policies\* Availa le to work weekend and holiday hours\* Accurately and timely report hours worked and mileage driven\* Physical Requirements: Classified as medium work / Frequent liftingup to 15 to 40 pounds / Frequent reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting,twisting, bending, and walking
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities\* Able to work independently\* Inspires cooperation and confidence of others both within the workgroup and cross-functionally with Operations and Sales Operations\* Previous Warehouse experience: Carting product, dead stack, Cardboardhandling.
