What You Will Do :

Our 2025 Campus Defense Security Accounting and Finance Consultants help our federal clients within Defense National Security optimize all elements of their finance management structure. Our new consultants will also build their professional and personal consulting skillsets while gaining a strong understanding of consulting within a financial capability.

Key responsibilities include:

Accounting and budget management

Supporting financial reporting/financial statement preparation, tie-points and abnormal balances analysis, root cause analysis, fluctuation/trend analysis, and USSGL posting logic research

Audit remediation activities, such as developing/updating process documentation (e.g., narratives and flow charts), and developing/implementing corrective action plans to address findings

Performing and reviewing statement analysis, financial information, reporting results, and financial statement audit report analysis

Identifying and implementing process improvements over financial reporting tools and templates in coordination with team lead and using technology to improve financial reporting

What You Will Need :

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust, Secret, or higher level of federal/government security clearance.

US Citizenship is required for security clearance

Completing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Finance or Accounting (between fall 2024 and summer 2025) from an accredited college or university.

Strong organizational and communication skills

Interest in growing a career in government/federal/Defense and National Security consulting

What Would Be Nice To Have :

Knowledge of and experience with Federal financial management activities, including but not necessarily limited to: federal accounting, federal financial statement audits and financial risk management.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Governmental Financial Manager (CGFM) Certification

ACTIVE and CURRENT security clearance
