The Default Attorney Oversight Analyst will be responsible for monitoring activities of the default process managed by vendor law firms of residential mortgage loans in default in accordance with applicable state, insurer, and investor default requirements. Effectively collaborate and communicate with support groups within the default department to ensure optimal resolution and/or outcome of foreclosure lawsuits or bankruptcies. Perform all duties within company policies and procedures and all state and federal regulations. The target pay range for this position is $19.00 to $22.00.
What you'll do:
Monitor vendor law firm performance and notifies team and manager of any consistent foreclosure or bankruptcy case management performance issues.
Maintain and oversee relationship with vendor law firms and provide training as needed.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Ensure the vendor law firms timely and accurately complete all regularly scheduled events.
Documents communication with vendor law firms’ measures taken, delays, progress, and phone conversations.
Develop and process monthly scorecards to measure vendor law firm performance, and aid in design and implementation of incident reports to be used by business units to notify Attorney Oversight of specific delay or errors caused by vendor law firms to be added to monthly scorecard data.
Researches root cause of law firm delays and errors, review and respond to vendor scorecard rebuttals, aid in design and implementation of vendor improvement remediation plans and follow up.
Make recommendations on potential vendor law firm changes when necessary.
Coordinate and facilitate vendor law firm meetings.
Review and respond to vendor law firm timeline carve out holds. Completes vendor law firm compliance quality review checks and summarizes the results of review for management and peers.
What you need:
High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in the Banking and/or Mortgage industries.
Three (3) years of Foreclosure experience.
Notary Public or previous paralegal experience preferred.
Thorough knowledge of litigation and foreclosure processes.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, etc.
Proficient with mortgage default management software.
Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
