　　About the Role

　　Morgan Stanley is seeking an ambitious candidate to join their Global eDiscovery and Investigations group as a Case Management/ eDiscovery specialist. The group is responsible for managing requests for electronic data and digital forensic investigations that relate to Litigation, Regulatory matters, Compliance, Employee Investigations as well as Incident Response and Cyber Security events. The team ensures that requests are adequately formed, tracked and responded to in an efficient and accurate manner. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic global function in the Hong Kong office.

　　The case manager provides a single point of contact and is responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of each request. He/she will need to manage delivery for assigned cases/matters and support client requirements with the collection of electronically stored information in a forensically sounded manner. This includes working closely with clients at the outset of their requests to understand requirements, then providing a conduit to the technical team who will fulfill the request. The case manager will also work with paralegals and attorneys throughout collection/ discovery phases to ensure data is handled with confidentiality, integrity and availability. The candidate will demonstrate and practice highest risk management mindset in their day-to-day operation, including making sound judgement calls and providing guidance to clients. The candidate will be well organized and be able to handle multiple priorities with good time management/ client expectation setting skills, be confident working independently and comfortable with the handling of confidential information to support management decisions.

　　As an eDiscovery hybrid, this role will also perform electronic data discovery/collection work that includes, but not limited to, collecting and analyzing data from electronic data sources such as email archives, infrastructure logs and network file servers. The data will be provided to clients both internal and external to the Firm. Good knowledge and understanding of international data collection considerations will be required.

　　Skills Required

　　• Experience working in regulatory, compliance and/or litigation groups ideally within the financial industry, understanding of legislation pertaining to IT security and eDiscovery

　　• Working knowledge in the areas of eDiscovery, litigation support, or IT Security

　　• Experience in a client facing role with excellent customer service skills and ability to work under pressure handling complex requests

　　• Detail orientated and Analytical, Strong organizational skills and communication skills, in English language (Chinese language is beneficial but not a must)

　　• Is a confident and influential communicator and able to articulate complex issues concisely

　　• Ability to describe technical concepts in non-technical terms to various stakeholders

　　• Good judgement and integrity, experience with handling confidential information

　　• Experience working internationally with peers/clients in different regions and time zones

　　Skills Desired

　　• Working knowledge of data retrieval from message archive systems or data repositories, including formulation and troubleshooting of complex data collection criteria

　　• Digital investigations, incident response, insider threat, and cyber security incidents knowledge

　　• Strong data analytics skills, scripting, comfort working through large and complex data sets

　　• Data analysis skills with the ability to review log data and metadata by formulating queries and commands in data analytics tools such as Excel, SQL and Splunk
