What the day will look like
Reporting to the DC Support Team Manager, the role of DC Associate Consultant is to provide high quality support to the DC Consultants in the day to day running of corporate pension schemes, primarily Defined Contribution (DC) based schemes but including contract and master trust DC pensions.
Your day to day may include, but is not limited to:
Coordinating client work and timely delivery to consultant for review
Efficiently managing deadlines and be in a position to work independently for routine matters
Possessing a good understanding of clients' needs to be able to manage clients for routine DC support and day to day contact
Preparing meeting materials and actively participating in meetings where appropriate
Ensuring client work submitted complies with relevant legislation prior to dispatch using Aon processes
Drafting Governance reports for clients¸ including analysing Management Information from Providers
Production of Communications materials, including member presentations and scheme announcements
How this opportunity is different
The DC Associate Consultant will work closely with the DC Consultants supporting the preparation of reports, liaising with providers, taking, and dealing with queries from members and assisting with the provision of advice with regards to employee benefit solutions to ensure advisor, client, product and service needs are met. They will also be expected to have some day-to-day interaction with the clients, supporting the DC Consultant as necessary.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
Candidates will ideally have experience in dealing with contract-based DC pension schemes, be a team player and a strong communicator.
Strong numerical ability
Well-developed literacy and communication skills are essential
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office solutions, including strong Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills is essential
Knowledge of financial services industry desirable with particular emphasis on Pension products
Relevant industry qualifications e.g. PMI or CII would be helpful but are not essential to this role
Education : Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of industry experience.
