  Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Database Engineer/Administrator II to join our team in the Lancaster, CA .

  Description:

  The Database Engineer/Administrator II is a journeyman-level position that involves designing, developing, supporting, and maintaining the organization’s database systems, including hardware, software, and network components. Responsibilities are to implement and manage vendor or open source database software; code, monitor, and tune database objects for optimal performance; perform capacity planning, usage forecasting, and in-depth technical review; provide future-looking and day-to-day database administrations support as needed; make recommendations on technical direction; extract and/or load data; set up cybersecurity measures; ensure all hardware and software are updated; authenticate data; monitor the performance of hardware and software; configure servers and databases; preserve data integrity; ethically handle private data, such as financial and/or healthcare data; and troubleshoot and provide technical support to database system users. The Database Engineer/Administrator II takes direction from more senior personnel.Basic Qualifications:

  Bachelor’s degree with four (4) years of experience. (Can be substituted for a HS diploma with 8 years of experience or an Associate’s degree with 6 years of experience.)

  2 years of position-specific relevant experience.

  DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level-II Certification.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Bachelor’s degree in software development or related discipline.

  4 years of experience in an Agile development environment.

  Clearance Requirements:

  The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance is required prior to starting this position.

  Must be a US Citizen.

  Physical Requirements:

  The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.The projected compensation range for this position is $77,000-$129,200. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.   For all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license.
