Description

　　Robert Half is partnering with a company to find a SQL Database Administrator. If you are a skilled problem solver and troubleshooter and have highly tuned decision-making abilities, apply today. The long-term contract / temporary to hire SQL Database Administrator position will be in Mission, Kansas.

　　Responsibilities Include:

　　Optimize database performance and infrastructure:

　　Analyze and tune queries for efficiency.

　　Design and manage schemas, indexes, and statistics.

　　Collaborate with developers on database object design and performance.

　　Participate in product development projects and disaster recovery initiatives.

　　Ensure database availability and security:

　　Troubleshoot internal and external system issues.

　　Develop automation and tools for improved diagnostics and administration.

　　Stay up-to-date on SQL Server technology and security best practices.

　　Maintain compliance with relevant regulations like HIPAA, HITECH, and PCI.

　　Provide expert database support:

　　Participate in on-call rotation for escalated database issues.

　　Collaborate with other departments during implementation and production support.

　　Drive product performance and reliability through innovative database solutions.

　　Protect sensitive data and ensure system availability through proactive monitoring and automation.

　　Deliver expert support and troubleshoot complex database issues across internal and external systems.

　　This job requires that you:

　　Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize database performance.

　　Collaborate effectively with developers and product teams on database design and optimization.

　　Possess deep understanding of SQL Server technology and security best practices.

　　Develop and implement automation solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.

　　Requirements

　　Requirements for the position:

　　Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of work and experience in database administration.

　　Technical Skills:

　　Essential:

　　Proven experience with relational databases and SQL.

　　Experience with disaster recovery processes and procedures.

　　Preferred:

　　Knowledge of basic Windows Server administration.

　　Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell and dbatools.io.
