Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator. In this role, you will take responsibility for the performance, integrity, and security of our databases. Moreover, you will be involved in the planning and development of the databases, as well as troubleshooting any issues on behalf of the users.

Responsibilities:

Must be based in the Chicagoland area.

Participating in database design and development.

Managing database security/integrity and backup procedures.

Implementing and maintaining database policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of databases and their accompanying software.

Assisting with the design of database structures and strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of a database.

Maintaining databases by identifying and solving database requirements; supporting users.

Improving database performance through performance monitoring, reporting, and tuning.

Requirements

Must be based in the Chicagoland area.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a closely related field.

At least 3 years of experience in managing databases, performance tuning of database systems, database design, and programming.

Solid knowledge of database technologies like Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL.

Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP is a plus.

Strong problem-solving skills, capable of troubleshooting and promptly solving any issues.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
