　　Job Description

　　Huntington Ingalls Industries - Mission Technologies (HII-MT) is seeking a Database Administrator to support a mission at Wright Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB).

　　Essential Job Responsibilities

　　Centralize management of individual SQL Express databases into one MS SQL database

　　Integrate with DevOps engineers to build and maintain pipeline repositories using industry best practices

　　Optimize DB performance for CI/CD pipeline workloads

　　Assists both development and operations teams in identifying and streamlining the process of application development and release

　　Provide data logging tools enabling developers the ability to commit, diff, log, and status DevOps automation.

　　Participates in continuous improvement efforts in enhancing performance and providing increased functionality, including performing proactive maintenance such as ensuring continued space availability, monitoring activity, and documenting problems, changes, and solutions

　　Plan and implement backups, recovery, and version roll backs

　　Work with development, security and operations teams concerning future application and environment technologies, upgrades and testing

　　Installs, configures, and patches database management systems (DBMS)

　　Controls access (e.g Role Base and Access Control) permissions and privileges

　　Ensures that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly

　　Setup automated jobs within database for loading, backups or status notification

　　Minimum Qualifications

　　6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math ; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.

　　Must have an active Department of Defense SECRET security clearance

　　Ability to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance with enhanced security check

　　Preferred Requirements

　　Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)

　　Active CompTIA CASP+ or Security+ certification

　　Experience with Microsoft SQL Database server, PostgreSQL, MySQL or similar

　　Experience with Kubernetes, GitLab or similar DevSecOPs environments

　　Experience with Linux
