　　Bloomberg news is seeking a data journalist to combine data analysis with traditional reporting to unearth previously undiscovered stories in finance.

　　You’ll be responsible for finding and analyzing data to add hard numbers to anecdotal reporting and uncover trends. You’ll work alone or in collaboration with beat reporters to break news and provide insight.

　　You’ll work on advanced problems, and with data that has not already been cleaned or packaged, so you should have experience importing, cleaning and analyzing large data sets with code.

　　You should have a demonstrated interest in financial reporting, as well as some ideas of the questions worth pursuing in SEC, CFPB, FDIC, FINRA or similar records.

　　Identify financial stories where data analysis can drive reporting

　　Handle tricky data, including data that is large and unstructured

　　Turn your findings into headlines and sharp nut grafs

　　YOU’LL NEED:

　　An interest in finance and investing

　　A portfolio of data work demonstrating editorial judgment, rigor and ambition

　　Experience extracting insight from data

　　Expertise in R or Python

　　Experience with Github

　　Salary Range: 115,000 - 140,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus

　　The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
