We are seeking an energetic and passionate Capability Analyst who will help us provide critical analysis and insight for our Data Knowledge Center application, the enterprise metadata search engine. Responsibilities include working with our business and technical teams to define requirements, develop use cases, refine our backlog, establish, and follow business priorities and ensure our work meets and exceeds business needs. The Capability Analyst will work within the team to implement solutions that maximizes business value as defined in our agile features.
Responsibilities
Work to develop and maintain strong working relationships with our business and technical partners, bridging the communications in order to translate needs into deliverable technical solutions.
Understand and contribute to our product roadmap, mapping our work through agile processes to deliver on the value articulated, including workflow charts, business models, proof of concepts and architecture
Conduct business and data analysis to identify and document easy to understand business requirements within our agile processes as artifacts, etc
Drive innovation proactively, identify and implement new ideas/technologies, which could substantially improve customer experience and/or create differentiation.
Collaborate with our data governance business and technical teams to identify, define and implement meaningful metadata solutions and integrations within our tool set
Assist in release scheduling, risks identification, issues resolution, decision making, and dependencies related to deliverables.
Contribute to Features and User Stories, establishing clear requirements and Acceptance Criteria clearly and concisely to communicate customer/stakeholder needs to our development partners and provide clarifications to requirements/scope
Communicate meaningful and useful information with our user community on releases dates and scope, education and How To tutorials, and support/request processes
Drive and evolve User Acceptance Testing throughout the product lifecycle to ensure clean and error free releases into production.
Utilize agile tools and resources to manage and track work via JIRA
Qualifications
3+ years of extensive experience in data informatics & data exchange, particularly using healthcare and clinical data such as: Claim, Membership, Client Structure, Benefits, and Utilization Management/Case Management etc.
3+ years of hands-on experience with data mining, analysis and visualization
Experience with Cloud Technologies (AWS)
Ability to understand enterprise code artifacts on how data solutions are built to solve various business use cases. This will require deep understanding of technologies used for various data solutions such as:
GIT, SSH, FTP
Advanced Search Tool, such as SOLR and ElasticSearch
Graph Databases, such as NEO4J and AWS Neptune
API’s and Program Libraries
Tools like Python, RStudio and Jupyter Notebook
Databases such as Postgres, Hadoop and Teradata
Experience in building ‘Search’ as implemented by best-in-class companies (e.g. Amazon, Google, YouTube…)
Experience applying a consultative and collaborative approach. Work experience & expertise with team input to influence business priorities and business actions for maximum strategic benefit.
