Description We are inviting applications for the role of a Data Governance Analyst in the automotive industry. This position is located in Houston, Texas and involves the development and execution of a comprehensive Data Governance strategy across the organization. The role requires collaboration with business executives, data owners, and stewards to drive data maturity and excellence throughout the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Define and implement a robust Data Governance strategy that aligns with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

• Lead initiatives related to Master Data Management, Data Security, Data Quality, Data Retention, and Data Definitions and Cataloging.

• Establish and promote best practices for data management and governance, ensuring consistency and quality across all data assets.

• Build and support a strong community of Data Owners and Data Stewards, providing guidance and support to enhance data stewardship capabilities.

• Partner with business executives to identify, measure, and remediate data quality issues, ensuring data is accurate, reliable, and actionable.

• Work with business stewards to document and define data metrics, quality thresholds, and performance indicators to monitor and improve data quality.

• Coordinate with IT security, compliance, and risk teams to ensure data policies meet regulatory requirements and organizational standards.

• Leverage skills in Data Governance, Data Management, Data retention, Data Quality, and OneTrust. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a Data Governance role within the Automotive industry.

• Proven expertise in Data Management, including developing and implementing data strategies and policies.

• Demonstrable experience in Data Retention, including creating and enforcing data retention policies.

• A strong understanding of Data Quality principles and the ability to implement them effectively.

• Experience working with OneTrust software for privacy, security, and data governance.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex data-related concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Demonstrable project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
