Leads large, cross-division functional teams or projects that affect the organization's long-term goals and objectives; provides a framework for users to access and understand data and train users; consistently works across departments with IT, Business, Analytics and Actuarial to ensure understanding of data and to improve the quality of the data; assists the Business Analysts in solving the business challenges by providing them the resources and training to understand and select the correct data; provides tracking of improving data quality; leads cross-functional teams to develop an innovative program of work with general guidance from leadership or Principle Business Intelligence Analysts; champions data quality, integrity, and reliability throughout the department by designing and promoting best practices; serves as Central's representative at external industry or functional engagements on matters relating to data governance; ensures adherence to and reinforcement of delivery best practices; provides mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees; routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and criteria for achieving objectives; develops strategy and sets functional policy and direction; acts as a functional manager within area of expertise but does not manage other employees as a primary job function.
