A Global Biotech/Pharma located in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Data Entry Specialist to join their team! Position Summary: The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for entering data into a template file from electronic lab notebooks (ELN). The ideal candidate will be computer savvy and possess fast typing skills with an eye for detail and familiarity with spreadsheets and online forms. Key Responsibilities: Data Entry: · Transfer data from various electronic data sources into computer files or database systems using keyboard · Type in data provided directly from customers or other parties, verify data by comparing it to source documents. · Update existing data, retrieve data as requested. Quality Assurance: · Review data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities, and checking the output. · Ensure that the entered data is correct and consistent. Data Maintenance: · Backup important data and ensure its confidentiality. · Maintain digital and physical filing systems. · Regularly update system backups. Communication: · Work closely with supervisors and team members to ensure data integrity and completion. · Respond to requests for information and access relevant files. General Administration: · Comply with data integrity and security policies. Qualifications: · Proven experience as a Data Entry Clerk, Data Entry Operator, or relevant role. · Fast typing skills; Knowledge of touch typing system is strongly preferred. · Experience with MS Office and data programs (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets). · Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices. · Ability to search for relevant information and files through the system of records (ELN).
