Job Title: Accounting Data Entry Clerk

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Data Entry Clerk to join their team. This role is project based and is 100% onsite. Job involves performing accounting data entry tasks, assisting with accounts payable duties, and supporting the accounting department in maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate should possess strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and experience with financial systems. Experience with Financial Edge software is a plus, and previous experience in a non-profit or education environment is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately enter financial data into the accounting system.

Assist with accounts payable tasks, including processing invoices, vendor communications, and payment reconciliations.

Perform regular data entry and maintain financial records in compliance with accounting procedures.

Reconcile accounts and assist with month-end close processes.

Support the finance team in generating financial reports and analysis as needed.

Maintain and organize financial documentation and ensure proper filing systems.

Utilize Excel for data analysis, budgeting, and reporting purposes.

Assist with special projects related to financial reporting or systems updates.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Basic accounting knowledge and experience with data entry.

Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas and pivot tables.

Experience with Financial Edge software is a plus.

Non-profit or education sector experience is preferred.

Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in financial data entry.

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with various teams.

High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in accounting or related field is a plus.
