About Data Entry Clerk

Description We are offering an opportunity for a Data Entry Clerk to join our team in the Construction/Contractor industry in Troy, Michigan. As a Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for executing various tasks related to data entry and vendor management. This role calls for an individual who is tech-savvy and possesses strong analytical skills. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications

• Maintain up-to-date and precise customer credit records

• Review and enter data for multiple vendors/suppliers, including W9's and 1099's

• Test W9's on a website for correct information and make necessary updates

• Communicate with vendors as needed for updated information

• Stay engaged in data analysis throughout the day to identify and rectify issues

• Use Microsoft Office, Excel Spreadsheets, MS Teams, and Outlook to manage, filter, sort, and find data

• Learn and use VLOOKUPs/pivots in Excel to manage large datasets

• Handle additional data-driven tasks as requested

• Assist with other projects or daily tasks within the department as needed. Requirements • Must have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role or field.

• Proficient in Data Entry tasks with a high level of accuracy.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the use of VLOOKUP.

• Capable of conducting effective Internet Searching.

• Must have excellent attention to detail.

• Strong organizational skills are required.

• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.

• Must be capable of working independently as well as part of a team.

• Experience in the Construction/Contractor industry is a plus.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the country where the job is located.
