Our high profile client and global giant in eCommerce and Web Services Hosting is seeking a Data Center Technical Support Technician for a 6-11 month contract job opportunity in the Columbus Ohio area. In this role, you will be part of the Data Center Infrastructure team, responsible for day-to-day installation of servers and network equipment, structured cabling, project work and capacity management. The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of previous experience in hardware, networking, and Linux OS as well as high levels of initiative, judgement and diplomacy to align well with this team.

　　Location: Columbus, OH

　　Pay Range: $25/HR on W2

　　What’s the Job?

　　Partner with cable vendors to install, inspect and troubleshoot cabling.

　　Installation and maintenance of copper and fiber cable infrastructure

　　Install, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cabling, including patch panels and patch cords.

　　Ensure that the Data Center and vendor installations comply with all installation practices.

　　Report status via ticketing system, status reports, email, and slack.

　　Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.

　　What’s Needed?

　　1+ year of Computer Hardware experience.

　　1+ years of Computer Networking experience.

　　1+ years of Linux Operating Systems experience.

　　All physical requirements are expected with reasonable accommodations. Candidates should be able to lift to 50lbs and or work in elevated locations.
