Our work depends on Cyber Transport Specialist Mid joining our team to conduct objective, technically proficient, and relevant vulnerability assessments of key infrastructure, to identify risks to defense critical missions.
HOW A CYBER TRANSPORT SPECIALIST MID WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Shall identify all aspects of communications-related (i.e., DoD data voice networks, transmission systems, Defense Information Systems Network (DISN), and other DoD and Commercial terrestrial and satellite communications systems and networks) vulnerabilities
Deploys, sustains, troubleshoots and repairs standard voice, data and video network infrastructure systems, IP detection systems and cryptographic equipment
Performs, coordinates, integrates and supervises network design, configuration, operation, defense, restoration, and improvements
Analyzes capabilities and performance, identifies problems, and takes corrective action
Fabricates, terminates, and interconnects wiring and associated network infrastructure devices. satellite communications systems and networks) vulnerabilities
Work as part of a high-performing, multidisciplinary team that conducts vulnerability assessments of critical Department of Defense assets world-wide
Increase the customer’s awareness of potential vulnerabilities and impacts of communications on mission execution capability
Provide recommendations to mitigate or eliminate identified vulnerabilities
Prepares assessment reports and develops recommendations to mitigate vulnerabilities
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience
Required Technical Skills: Expertise with DoD and commercial communications systems
Exposure to Defense Information Systems Agency long haul networks, services (SIPR, NIPR, DSN, Satellite) both physically and as a customer.
Exposure to some level of long-haul multiplexers - Cienna, Cisco MSPP, Sycamore, Multi-Protocol Labeled Switching (MPLS) routers
Exposure to some level of Data Center - small, medium, large, commercial
Exposure to LAN/WAN architecture
Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI
Required Skills and Abilities: Must have excellent analytic and communication (oral and written) skills; must obtain a valid Passport and be able to travel on short-notice.
Preferred Skills: Experience with computer and communication system networking.
