　　RESPONSIBILITIES

　　The successful incumbent will be responsible for the efficient coordination and communication of shipping details, particularly stock in transit, to S&OP and OTC specialists, liaising with clearing agents, customs officials and primary transport service providers to ensure smooth operations.

　　Duties will include the following:

　　Manage the movement of imports and exports while ensuring compliance with relevant procedures across all business units

　　Provide guidance on import tax and duties by maintaining strong relationships with the South African Revenue Service (SARS)

　　Collaborate closely with trade control to secure necessary permits for product transportation

　　Coordinate airfreight or sea freight shipments as needed, optimizing cost-efficiency

　　Verify invoices received from clearing agents for accuracy before submitting them for payment processing

　　Track foreign orders and shipments diligently, updating costs in our SAP system

　　Maintain accurate records of new purchase orders on a register spreadsheet

　　Interface effectively with Clearing House upon successful clearance of shipments through South African Customs

　　Prepare payments for Customs VAT and Clearing Charges to be submitted to the Clearing House

　　QUALIFICATIONS

　　Having completed Matric (grade 12) is required

　　Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience in import management and customs clearing field

　　Demonstrated proficiency and extensive knowledge in the realm of shipping and logistics

　　Excellent communication skills enabling effective collaboration across various stakeholders

　　Proficiency in SAP or similar inventory management systems

　　Strong attention to detail coupled with exceptional organizational abilities
