  Summary

  As the Customer Support Specialist, you will communicate with customers and vendors in order to monitor the flow of shipment movement while providing excellent customer service.

  Demonstrate and respond in a timely, professional and courteous manner to all customer inquiries

  Communicate effectively and clearly with all customers, government agencies, and partners

  Effectively handle a high volume of incoming calls and written communications

  Provide accurate and complete information to customers

  Maintain accurate records by documenting all customer interactions into core computer system

  Coordinate offsite services with local agencies in various markets as needed

  Prioritize workload to meet required deadlines

  Build sustainable relationships of trust through open, honest, and interactive communication

  Ability to work overtime

  Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  Experience in a multi-dimensional role where customer contact is both written and verbal

  Excellent verbal and written customer service and communication skills

  Exceptional ability to identify, analyze, and creatively solve problems

  Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening

  Ability to respond professionally and effectively to a wide variety of customer personality types

  Required Experience

  High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  Preferred Education and Experience

  A minimum of 2 years face-to-face or telephonic customer service experience in a metric driven organization

  Prior experience in the moving industry preferred

  Physical Demands/Requirements

  Sit or stand for extended periods of time

  Bend or reach occasionally

  Use repetitive hand motion

  Lift, carry or push up to 15 pounds occasionally

  Office Environment

  This position is in a general office environment with moderate noise, room temperature
