About Customer Sales Executive, Target

  Job Location: Minneapolis, MN Sales employees are responsible for ensuring they meet the time in role (TIR) requirements before applying for this position. TIR is calculated from the effective date the employee moved into their current position. * Summary:* The Customer Sales Executive (CSE) is responsible for profitably growing Target’s and Hershey’s business to achieve objectives and plans, including net sales, market share, trade spend, and sales activity margin with a focus on our Everyday business. Responsibilities include business planning & analysis, creating valued business partnerships with key contacts at Target and within Hershey, and achieving mutually beneficial agreements through skilled negotiation and understanding of the customer’s business. The CSE will also leverage insights to help build a 1 to 3 year total Target joint business plan and deploy supporting tactics to achieve our financial objectives. 2+ years of Prior CSE experience strongly preferred. * Responsibilities:* Achieve net sales, market share, trade spend, and sales activity margin targets for Target by: -Leading our holistic omnichannel plans on our everyday business in collaboration with Target and our Hershey internal partners -Building annual business plans that enhance our brand equity & profitably grow our market share -Partnering with Target’s buyers & their one team partners to secure distribution & merchandising, negotiate sales programs, and develop a strategic business plan based on consumer & shopper insights -Judiciously managing our P&L, inclusive of allocating trade funds (maintaining compliance with all Sarbanes Oxley policies) to achieve profitable sales growth, and clearing deductions & processing invoices while working to minimize non-working customer expenses (ie: Waste, supply chain costs, etc.) -Effectively utilizing Hershey’s & Target’s analytical tools (e.g. PlanEx, IRI, retailer systems, Atlas, etc.) and processes to drive profitable and predictable sales results -Working collaboratively with Hershey’s Seasonal CSEs, Finance, Shopper Marketing, Shopper Insights, Brand teams, Sales Planning, Supply Chain & other cross functional partners -Providing informal coaching & leadership across the Hershey Target team * Qualifications:* * Education:* Bachelor's degree required. * Experience:* At least 7-9 years relevant sales experience; 2+ years of prior CSE experience strongly preferred #LI-AM1 The Hershey Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
