Essential Duties &Responsibilities Assist culinary management in administrative andpersonnel related matters, including; scheduling, time clock reviews,overtime, performance, discipline, investigations, training anddevelopment, etc. Prepares food as outlined on Banquet Event OrderProvides food preparation assistance by washing, peeling, cutting, andseeding vegetables and fruits; cleaning, cutting, and grinding meats,poultry, and seafood Prepares soups and sauces by stirring and strainingBreads foods by dipping food items in crumbs, flour, and batter Controlsrecipes by weighing and measuring designated ingredients Providesfoodstuffs and utensils for chef by carrying pans, kettles, and trays offood to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator Maintains safe,secure, and healthy work environment by cleaning work areas, equipmentand utensils; segregating and removing garbage; steam-cleaning or hosinggarbage containers; following sanitation standards and procedures;complying with legal regulations Keeps supplies and foodstuffs ready byinventorying stock; requisitioning supplies and foodstuffs; verifyingreceipt; storing Keeps equipment operating by following operatinginstructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies;performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs BasicQualifications & Skills High School diploma or equivalent experience;may have current enrollment Previous food preparation experience in arestaurant setting Prior training and/or experience in hands-onequipment maintenance Comprehensive knowledge of food preparation anddemonstrated ability to understand sanitation related issues andprecautions necessary to ensure a clean food preparation environmentMust be flexible regarding scheduling based on business demandsSuccessful completion of criminal background check and drug screenDesired Qualifications & Traits Previous leadership experience Proventeamwork Projects professional image that inspires trust and confidenceEnthusiastic and positive energy Multi-tasking ability PhysicalRequirements Able to lift up to 15 lbs.
