　　As a Per Diem CT Technologist at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, you will have the opportunity to work 8-hour weekday and weekend day shifts on a rotating basis. The CT Technologist, under direct supervision, uses Siemens computerized tomography scanners to produce cross-section images of patient’s internal organs and tissues for diagnosis of medical issues.

　　Summary of Essential Duties:

　　Accurately interpret a physician’s scanning instructions

　　Administer contrast material

　　Prepare and operate CT scan equipment

　　Ability to position patient to capture appropriate images

　　Send images to Radiologist for interpretation/reading

　　Cleans and disinfects patient rooms

　　Follow infection control and safety guidelines

　　Qualifications

　　Education:

　　Graduate of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology program requiredLicense/Certifications:

　　American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiologist certification (ARRT-R) required

　　California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification required

　　Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required

　　American Registry of Radiologic Technologists CT certification (ARRT-CT) preferred or willing to obtain within one year from start date

　　Venipuncture certification required

　　Experience:

　　A minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Scan Technologist preferred

　　At least 6 months of experience with Siemens brand scanners preferred
